The workshops have a strong experiential bias and include exercises aimed at facilitating the personal reflection and action planning of the participants. These reflective exercises are supported by diagnostic instruments that provide valid feedback for participants to factor into their learning and development planning.
Each participant completes a comprehensive Personal Development Plan that applies the strategic visioning process, introduced in Workshop One, to their personal career aspirations. The Personal Development Plan builds on a base of personal values and career purposes that inform the development of a statement of career intent and the development of a strategy/business model aimed at achieving the intent.
Personal Learning Journals are used throughout the programme so that participants can record insights from the various workshop diagnostics and reflective exercises, from their attempts to apply programme learning in ‘mini’ action learning exercises and from ‘between workshop’ coaching and learning group sessions.
Between workshops, support to the participants is provided to encourage the application of programme concepts and implementation of Personal Development Plans.
