Bob Miller

Bob Miller, BBus, BCom(Hons), NZSIA, lectures in financial accounting at the University of Canterbury and guest lectures in specialist topics in Europe. He provides a link between academia and practice working directly with CPA Australia and ACCA. He provides specialist strategic advice and direction as a consultant to both profit orientated and public benefit orientated organisations.

Bob’s interests in technical accounting issues motivate his research and advising in Fair Value Accounting and Advanced Analysis and Interpretation, while his love of the outdoors and nature motivate his research and advisory in Sustainability Reporting and Business Ethics. He is a founding member of the Academic Advisory Board for the GRI on Integrated Reporting.

Few interactions with Bob are possible without a passionate chat about his two kids, fine wine, the mountains or philosophy, often all of them. He is a qualified ski instructor, frequent mountain traveller and recent Coast to Coast participant.
