Description

The symbiotic relationship that characterises the board and executive relationship requires synergy, trust and confidence to be present, if the decisions and the outcomes that flow from this combined team are to influence and impact the organisation’s performance. In a time of crisis these characteristics are more important than ever.

The global COVID-19 pandemic has placed enormous pressure on the executive and boards of organisations. Those who operate with synergy, trust and confidence are better equipped to deal with the rapidly changing environment while adapting to a new normal.

While the board and management each have their own principal roles in navigating this and any other crisis, they must operate with synergy, trust and confidence within and between their separate teams. If they do not, the greatly desired outcome where the sum of the parts are greater than the individual elements (1+1= 3), will not happen.

Synergy, trust and confidence are not single identifiable elements; they are constituted from many elements. In this masterclass we will discuss these component elements, where they come from and how a board and executive may either enhance or possibly develop them.

This masterclass will outline the importance of synergy, trust and confidence and how the lack or presence of these overarching characteristics and their component elements influences and impacts the decision-making processes in a time of crisis, which directly influences organisational outcomes and performance.
