Description

This masterclass will provide you with the knowledge, understanding and cross-cultural communication skills that will enhance relationships with people from different cultural backgrounds.

Cross-cultural competency is no longer a ‘nice to have’ but a ‘must have’ in an increasingly diverse society. We are dependent on a global workforce, a global customer base and the ability to navigate a complex maze of multicultural situations. Situations that if not handled well can lead to workforce turnover, lost customers, bad publicity and more.

Starting with covering the range of multicultural issues we encounter in our daily lives, we’ll take a tour through common cultural communication issues we encounter. We will cross compare Kiwi cultural dimensions to other cultures. You will take away learnings, skills and tips to more effectively engage with someone from a different cultural background.

Learning Outcomes

  • understand the multicultural issues that we experience in work and personal life
  • identify ways you can bridge cultural differences, recognising differences as assets rather than obstacles to navigate
