With more than 22 years' experience in the learning and development space, Pamela is a widely experienced and innovative consultant, facilitator and coach. She specialises in designing and delivering customised workshops in negotiation, leadership (and specifically, leadership for women), assertiveness and influence, handling conflict and challenging conversations, and boosting service focus.
With a knack for helping people navigate challenges and change, particularly where that involves re-thinking or strengthening work cultures and practices, Pamela draws on sound concepts and practices, while delivering learning that is practical and innovative. She understands that the best team strategies are underpinned by outstanding execution, and she works with teams to build their service strategy, culture and team performance. As well as delivering workshops, Pamela helps embed progress through targeted coaching with leaders.
Pamela has worked with many organisations over the years including government departments and agencies, local government, corporates, primary industry and professional service organisations. She has also delivered workshops in ‘Negotiation and Influence’ for women managers in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Manila.
With an earlier background in tourism development, Pamela has led a regional tourism marketing entity and promoted New Zealand in Australia and the UK. She has worked with tourism clusters to support a range of tourism operators and tourism-related businesses. She has a deep interest in working with small-to-medium businesses, and is skilled at helping people achieve clarity around their vision, mission and purpose.
Pamela is the author of the inaugural ‘NZ Guide to Training and Development’ (Brookers NZ HR Library).
