Richard's expertise enables him to work with organisations to address the practical challenges of organisational resilience and help them to be future ready. He is passionate about the importance of leadership and culture in growing organisational resilience. He works with organisations to help deliver long-term results based on accurate assessment of issues and areas of weakness, and the creation of aligned solutions that work.
He is excellent at facilitating discussions, as well as coaching teams and individuals to grow their leadership and effectiveness for both everyday performance and crisis response. Clients range from senior leaders, such as company boards and executives, to groups of frontline staff of SMEs and NGOs.
The common theme is creating the understanding, structure and active practice of skills to enhance organisational resilience, including responding well when things do go wrong, as they inevitably do from time to time.
Prior to joining Resilient Organisations as Principal Consultant, Richard worked primarily in the public sector. He has held senior management positions in both local government and iwi organisations, and retains a strong interest in public policy matters.
