Bicultural Advisor/Facilitator, Canterbury

Kereama specialises in mental health and wellbeing and provides a variety of services to individuals, groups, and workplaces through coaching and workshop facilitation. He has been working across the health sector over the last 20 years and has a passion for empowering people to move forward positively when challenges arise in their lives.

Raised in Rangiora, North Canterbury, Kereama’s iwi is Ngāi Tahu and Ngāti Mamoe. He currently resides with his family in Christchurch and works with individuals and organisations locally and around New Zealand.

His bicultural knowledge is widely recognised. He brings that knowledge into organisations by way of bicultural awareness workshops and bicultural supervision and advisory services, providing opportunities for growth and development in the bicultural setting and promoting best practice in the workplace. He has been teaching the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi through workshops and staff orientations since his graduation from university in 2004.

He has extensive leadership experience in healthcare settings in the community, private, and government sectors, including a wide range of experience in youth and adult mental health, addiction, primary care (GPs), service design, and group facilitation.
