Trudy Heath
Coach/Consultant/Facilitator, Canterbury
Trudy is an experienced Executive Officer, Senior Leader, and Governor across education, not-for-profit, and iwi organisations. She utilises her many years of educational leadership and governance work to both mentor and coach others so that they can reach their full potential.
An experienced leader, Trudy has successfully led change initiatives, led teams through change, and developed strategy while strengthening the vision and values. Trudy leads in a values-based way and is passionate about growing leaders.
She enjoys the collaborative nature of coaching and mentoring and the relationships and whānaungatanga they bring. With a focus on getting the best out of people and helping them to be the best they can be, she also helps leaders to focus on their own well-being to ensure life/work balance.
She has a deep understanding of Te Ao Māori which helps strengthen her values-based way of leading and working. As a Māori leader, she comfortably walks with a foot in both worlds. She has a solid understanding of what it is like to work in both non-Māori and Māori environments and is experienced in supporting others to navigate the space between both.
Having been on several boards, Trudy has a keen interest in ensuring board members are clear on their roles and responsibilities, while functioning in a highly productive and strategically focussed way. She has experience mentoring and coaching newly appointed Board Chairs and enjoys this work.
Trudy has real strength in developing positive workplace cultures and understands that this must come from the top down. When this is in place, everyone in the workplace can thrive.
