Description
This workshop is designed to support people leaders by providing an overview and understanding of the broader implications of mental health challenges and issues that may be encountered in the workplace and in everyday life.
It will build on your existing knowledge and skills to recognise and appropriately support your team members who may be experiencing a mental health challenge or developing a mental health problem, as well as increasing awareness of your own mental health and wellbeing.
Principles of resilience will be discussed and explored in the context of your workplace, with an emphasis on developing greater individual and team resilience.
Learning Outcomes
Participation in this workshop will enable you to:
- understand the context of mental health and wellbeing in the workplace
- recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health challenges
- identify risk and protective factors
- respond, support, and refer to professional help and resources
- have empathetic mental health conversations with team members
- practise self-care and develop your own resilience and that of your team.
