Description
Have you been made a project sponsor?
Not sure what that means and how much work that is?
This workshop will clarify the role and duties of a sponsor and what ‘good’ looks like. You will need to know when to challenge and when to allow the project manager to do their job.
The workshop focuses on what questions to ask, the type of information you need to make great decisions, and how to influence others to support the project. We will look at setting the vision, being clear on the problem statement, and ensuring there is correct resource allocation.
This workshop is for those who have, or are about to have, responsibility for sponsoring projects, or are in a governance (steering committee) role. It assumes that you may have exposure to traditional, predictive project methods or agile methods.
Learning Outcomes
Participation in this workshop will enable you to:

- ask questions to make informed decisions in a timely manner
- build an understanding of agile approaches and how governance works within that framework
